Dr. Lopez grew up in Gig Harbor, WA. After high school, he lived as a missionary in Nicaragua for two years. He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology from Brigham Young University – Idaho. He then went on to receive his Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Missouri in St. Louis College of Optometry. After practicing in Spokane for a little while, he and his wife decided that they wanted to be even closer to family and returned to Western Washington.

When not at work enjoying time with his patients, Dr. Lopez is taking every moment possible to spend time with his wife and their five children. In his free time, Dr. Lopez enjoys watching and critiquing movies, learning songs on various instruments, and playing any sport he can. He also enjoys hiking, camping, and anything in the water. He and his family absolutely love the mountains, the waters, and the trees in the area and they are grateful to be here.

Dr. Lopez is fluent in conversational Spanish and he hopes to use that tool by visiting other countries to perform eye exams on those that would not have the means otherwise. He loves being an Optometrist and spending one on one time with others getting to know them. Likewise, he considers it a privilege to spend his days helping others obtain clearer vision and managing the health of their eyes.

He is currently seeing patients at our Port Orchard and Vashon Locations.
