Dr. Walston grew up in Western Kentucky and is an experienced Doctor of Optometry. He received his Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Kentucky in 2000, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2005. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association.
Dr. Walston is a primary care eye physician who has received extensive training in fitting specialty contact lenses, pediatric vision therapy, diagnosing and treating sight threatening ocular disease, and co-managing refractive and other surgical procedures. He especially enjoys the challenge of revealing problems that a patient never knew they had and is committed to improving the quality of life of his patients and preserve ocular health for a lifetime.
He moved to the Pacific Northwest with his wife and two boys to be closer to family and to take advantage of all the exciting outdoor activities the area has to offer. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, disc golf, fishing, and watching UK basketball with his family. He would welcome any recommendations on local restaurants, hikes, or things to do and see in the area.
He is currently seeing patients at our Auburn and Milton Clinics.
